About TPO, Inc.

What if you could find human resources professionals who you could use when you need them, as you need them, and they become trusted members of your team?

For more than 30 years, that is what we deliver to executives at for-profit and not-for-profit organizations across the Washington, DC area. If you are handling the human resources responsibility for your organization, and need help, we’re here for you. Typically, clients find us when having a specific issue, such as the unexpected loss of an HR executive, or the inability to bring an HR professional on fulltime. You could need an employee handbook, or have issues with HR compliance that need attention. While we are not a payroll processor, we work well with those responsible for the processing. We feel strongly that checks and balances are vital.

We’re known for providing strategic HR consulting services in a way that delivers business value to clients and sets us apart from other HR service providers. Our difference is that our professionals are business people who also are experts in human resources. We work with you to align your strategic business goals to the people and HR processes in your organization. Our consultants bring at least 15 years of human resources and senior business management experience to their consulting work.

Our service offerings are:

  • Outsourcing, in which a dedicated consultant works side-by-side as part of your executive team.
  • On-call, in which a dedicated consultant is available to you when you need help.
  • Projects, in which a consultant with relevant subject matter expertise works on a finite task that has a specific deliverable and end date.

With each type of service, your consultant does the homework to understand your business needs, and works with you closely to identify your business’ strengths, weaknesses and where there are gaps in people processes or risks to your business. We’re known for:

  • Direct and regular communication with senior leaders.
  • Our ability to quickly assess your current situation using our initial auditing process.
  • Reporting back to you what we find so we can work together to determine next steps that are right for you and your organization.
