Karen Usher
Karen is Chairman and founder of TPO. She has been a human resources consultant in Washington since 1981. Karen has broad human resource leadership experience in a wide variety of private sector and non-profit businesses as well as a deep understanding of how CEOs can impact the quality of their businesses. Prior to establishing The Personnel Office in 1994, Karen served as President of the Fasad Group, Inc., a broad-based human resources strategic planning consultancy specializing in the development of unique human resource programs for smaller and medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations. Before founding the Fasad Group, Karen spent two years with the Delta Consulting Group, a New York City based strategic organization change firm. In her capacity as Director, she was responsible for working directly with large, multi-national clients advising senior executives on strategic and organization planning initiatives associated with large-scale organization change. Beginning in 1981 and continuing until 1989, Ms. Usher served first as Vice President and then CEO of Robert R. Schuldt & Associates, Ltd. RRS&A assisted clients in the design and implementation of human resource programs compatible with business strategies. Ms. Usher began her career in the compensation field with positions at Dartmouth College and Itek Corporation.
Tucker Schuldt
Tucker is Senior Vice President, Strategy and Planning for Sodexo North America. He is responsible for strategy development for the overall enterprise, as well as individual business units and is charged with achieving growth objectives including issues of offer development, portfolio management, organic growth, acquisitions, and targeted markets. Previously, he served as SVP of Planning and Quality for Sodexo Health Care Services (Fiscal 2007 revenue approximately $2.5B). Tucker came to Sodexo (formerly Sodexho Marriott Services) from Marriott International, where he worked his way up from his position as Wage Analyst in 1984 to Vice President, Compensation & Benefits in 1994. Concurrent with his compensation & benefits role, he served as Vice President, Human ResourcesReengineering Project Leader in 1995. In 1996, he was appointed Vice President, Human Resources for the Health Care Services Group, where he led the human resource efforts to integrate Sodexho North America and Marriott Management Services Health Care division into one entity (Sodexho Marriott Services), including Human Resource operating programs and procedures.
Ron Kaiser
Ron is a nationally recognized financial executive now working independently with high growth businesses. He has more than 25 years of experience in public and private finance and accounting management. He has been a CFO of nine different companies, raising over $600 million in private and public financings and managing several acquisitions, taking five of the companies public in the process. Prior to his recent shift to consulting, Ron served as CFO of Sucampo Pharmaceuticals; CFO of PharmAthene, Inc.; CFO of Air Cargo, Inc.; CFO, Treasurer and Secretary of OTG Software; and CFO of Trusted Information Systems. Ron has been nominated as a “CFO of the Year” four times, nominated as a finalist three times, and received the “Community Service” honors in 2001. The January/February 1999 issue of Tech Capital magazine named Kaiser as one of the East Coast’s Top CFOs.
Jamie Heller
Jamie is an entrepreneur and the founder and President of Hellerworx, Inc., a professional services firm providing strategic and economic consulting services to electric generators, coal and energy producers, and transportation companies. The firm’s offerings include coal market analysis, transportation market analysis, electric utility planning, and power market analysis, analysis of environmental compliance options, utility fuel procurement, energy property valuation, and litigation support. Prior to founding Hellerworx, Jamie served as a Sr. Partner with PA Consulting, and for three years as a Sr. Vice President with Hagler Bailly. In 1981, Jamie founded Fieldston Company, Fieldston Publications, and co-founded Fieldston Transportation Services. In 1998, he sold all of the businesses. He has served as an arbitrator, and as an expert witness before various state commissions, federal district and state courts, arbitration panels in the U.S. and overseas, the Surface Transportation Board and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Jamie has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an electrical engineering degree from Northwestern University.
