Elizabeth Richards

Elizabeth brings nearly 20 years of experience in Human Resources and Administration to her role at TPO. Elizabeth has worked in a variety of industries including financial services, aerospace and defense, and the association/non-profit sector. Elizabeth’s HR knowledge and experience combined with her strong business acumen allow her to effectively partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives and programs with overall business strategy. Examples include market compensation studies, the development of comprehensive benefit packages, the design and implementation of HRIS, recruitment, on-boarding, and performance management systems, and the design of HR policies and procedures to support operational efficiencies. Elizabeth utilizes HR metrics and analyzes HR data to recommend innovative programs to drive results and her process orientation allows her to effectively manage audit processes and compliance requirements.

In addition to her consulting role, Elizabeth manages the client interfacing administration for TPO. Prior to joining TPO Elizabeth served as the Director of HR & Administration at the HR Certification Institute, the global leader in HR certification. In that role she oversaw all aspects of human resources including recruiting, HRIS, organizational development, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and policy development. In addition, she oversaw administration and led the build-out of the Institute’s new global headquarters in Alexandria, VA. Elizabeth has also held various HR positions with Thales USA Defense & Security, Inc. and GMAC ResCap.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from DePauw University and a Masters in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. She earned her SPHR in 2004.
